Terms of Service – Stay Focused

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and the Stay Focused development team ("Company", "we", "us"). By installing, accessing, or using the Stay Focused application ("App"), you irrevocably agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Nature of the Service

Stay Focused is a self-control and productivity enforcement tool. The App performs actions strictly based on user-defined configurations, including app blocking, website blocking, notification blocking, schedules, and Strict Mode enforcement.

2. Absolute User Responsibility

• All restrictions are voluntarily enabled by the user.
• You are solely responsible for reviewing all settings before activation.
• The App executes only the configurations defined by the user.
• Any loss or inconvenience is entirely the user’s responsibility.

3. Strict Mode – Binding Acknowledgment

Before enabling Strict Mode, the App displays a confirmation prompt. Proceeding constitutes explicit and informed consent.

By enabling Strict Mode, you agree that the Company shall not be liable for device lockouts, emergency situations, loss of access, phone resets, or data loss.

4. Emergency & Device Reset Disclaimer

The Company does not guarantee accessibility during emergencies. Any consequences resulting from device resets or system changes are solely the user's responsibility.

5. Technical Limitations of Blocking and Strict Mode

Stay Focused is a self-control and digital-wellbeing application designed to help users reduce or restrict access to selected applications, websites, and other digital content.

Stay Focused does not guarantee that a user will be technically unable to circumvent, disable, or bypass every restriction in all circumstances. The effectiveness of blocking and Strict Mode depends, among other things, on the operating system, device manufacturer, operating-system version, permissions granted to Stay Focused, and technical restrictions imposed by the operating system.

On Android devices, certain system-level settings and permissions are controlled exclusively by Android and/or the device manufacturer. Depending on the device and Android version, a user may be able to change permissions, disable required permissions, stop the application, modify system settings, or otherwise interfere with the operation of Stay Focused.

Strict Mode provides additional protection against circumvention. Where supported by the device and Android version, Strict Mode may restrict access to relevant Android Settings and other system functions. Users who choose not to enable or permit the applicable system restrictions acknowledge that this may provide additional means of bypassing or disabling restrictions implemented by Stay Focused.

The ability to access or modify Android Settings does not, by itself, mean that Stay Focused has failed to perform its blocking functions. Stay Focused is intended as a self-control tool and is not a security product designed to make circumvention technically impossible.

6. User Responsibility for Configuration

The effectiveness of Stay Focused depends on the configuration selected by the user. Users who require stronger protection against intentional circumvention should enable Strict Mode and all permissions and system protections recommended by Stay Focused, where supported by their device.

If a user voluntarily disables, refuses, or does not grant a permission or system restriction required for a particular protection mechanism, Stay Focused cannot guarantee the same level of resistance to circumvention.

Device-specific behavior may vary and certain Android or manufacturer-level restrictions may be outside the control of Stay Focused.

7. No Guarantee of Absolute Circumvention Prevention

Stay Focused does not represent or warrant that its restrictions cannot be bypassed by a sufficiently knowledgeable or determined user, or that every possible method of circumvention will be prevented on every device or future version of Android.

The purpose of Stay Focused is to provide practical tools and friction to support self-control and reduce unwanted access. It is not intended to provide an irrevocable or technically unbreakable restriction of the device.

Nothing in these terms limits any mandatory consumer rights or statutory remedies that cannot legally be excluded or restricted under applicable law.

8. Purchases & Platform Exclusivity

• Android purchases are valid only on Android.
• iOS purchases are valid only on iOS.
• Purchases cannot be transferred between platforms.
• Purchases cannot be used on more than 1 device.

9. One-Time Purchase (“Lifetime Access”) Terms

"Lifetime" refers to the commercial lifetime of the product. The Company reserves full rights to modify, limit, revoke, or discontinue one-time purchase access after a minimum of four (4) years.

Lifetime Access includes the features and functionality made available with the one-time purchase at the time of purchase. The Company is not obligated to provide Lifetime Access users with new features, functionality, services, or major enhancements introduced or added after the date of purchase. New features may be offered exclusively to subscribers, new purchasers, or under separate pricing or access terms, at the Company's discretion.

10. Subscriptions

Subscriptions are billed and managed by the respective app stores and are subject to their billing and refund policies.

11. Modification & Termination

The Company reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature without prior notice or liability.

12. No Warranty

The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the App.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company from any claims arising from your use of the App.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India.

16. Changes to Terms

Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
